In this combination class of Ballet and Tap, students will benefit from the structure and discipline of ballet, but have a blast with the fun, energetic, rhythmic choreography of Tap! Each week the class alternates between techniques. These classes are for ages 3-9
Ballet is based on a combination of Vaganova and Cecchetti techniques. These classes include teaching body alignment and position. As a foundational dance technique, it is crucial in the development of many other styles of dance. Ages 7-17 are graded for their knowledge of terminology - in verbal, written and physical execution. Private Pointe classes are available upon request.

What should you expect?
A 15-minute warm-up consisting of stretching, body isolations and standard dance technique, followed by a series combination steps that move across the floor. Then you will learn a fun, upbeat jazz routine set to the latest Broadway hit! No experience necessary! Just come with an open mind and the determination to try your best!

It is a popular dance style in amateur competitive dance as well as in professional dance theater and in contemporary circus productions such as those by Cirque du Soleil. Acrodance is known by various other names including acrobatic dance and gymnastic dance, though it is most commonly referred to simply as acro by dancers and dance professionals.
