Dance Class schedule

2023-2024 Season

Annual Registration Fee: $49 per family

  • Waived for families already enrolled in Gym Inc/Ninja Zone. After submitting your online registration, email danceandflyva@gmail.com to verify your current Gym Inc registration to have the registration fee removed before charging the card on file.

  • Enrollment is year-round and ongoing which means your enrollment is active until a two-week written notice is emailed to danceandflyva@gmail.com.

Monthly Family Tuition Rates

  • 30 Min Per Week: $45 (not eligible for discount) 

  • 45 Min Per Week: $55 Per Month

  • 1 Hour Per Week: $67 Per Month

  • 1 Hr 15 Min Per Week: $75 Per Month

  • Dance Jam: $45 Per Month

Each additional class is discounted by 10%​

Auto-draft required. Choose your auto-draft from the 1st, 5th, or 25th of the previous month.

  • Costumes: $90 - $100 per class (Due by October 1, 2023, or immediately upon registration if registering after October 1)

    • Child Sizes: XS-L: $90

  • Performance Fee: $50 per family/show (Includes 2 guest tickets for performance) Due June 1, 2024

Ballet/Tap Combo
Ages 3-6

A ballet/tap combo class is a dance class that combines elements of both ballet and tap dance styles, providing students with a diverse and well-rounded dance experience. This type of class is often designed for young dancers, typically ranging from preschool to early elementary school age, as it introduces them to the basics of two distinct dance forms in a fun and engaging way.

POINTE

A Pointe class is an advanced form of ballet training where dancers perform on the tips of specially designed pointe shoes. To join this class, dancers usually need:

  • At least four years of ballet experience.

  • Minimum of two ballet classes per week.

  • Approval from their ballet teacher.

  • Physical readiness for the demands of Pointe work.

TAP

A tap dance class is a dynamic and rhythmic dance session that focuses on creating sounds and rhythms through the movement of the feet, often using special shoes with metal plates on the sole. Tap dancing is characterized by its lively and percussive nature, with dancers using their feet as instruments to produce intricate and syncopated rhythms. Tap classes cater to various skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, and provide a structured environment for learning and refining tap dance techniques.

Contemporary

A contemporary dance class is a creative and expressive movement session that blends various dance styles, focusing on self-expression, versatility, and pushing the boundaries of traditional dance techniques. Contemporary dance encourages dancers to explore new ways of moving, often incorporating elements from modern dance, ballet, jazz, and improvisation. This style prioritizes emotional and artistic expression, allowing dancers to convey personal stories and feelings through their movements.

Broadway Jazz

A Broadway jazz class is a dance session that combines the energy and flair of jazz dance with the theatricality and storytelling elements of Broadway-style performances. This dance style draws inspiration from both traditional jazz dance techniques and the dynamic choreography seen in musical theater productions. In a Broadway jazz class, dancers learn to express emotions, tell stories, and capture the essence of Broadway performances through their movements.

Lyrical Ballet

Lyrical ballet is a style of dance that blends elements of jazz and modern dance with the foundational technique of ballet, focusing on expressing emotions, storytelling, and interpreting music through movement. It is characterized by its fluid and graceful movements that often convey deep emotions and lyrical themes. Lyrical dance is known for its connection to music, allowing dancers to convey the lyrics and emotions of a song through their choreography.

BALLET

A ballet class is a structured and disciplined training session that focuses on developing classical ballet technique, strength, flexibility, and artistry. Ballet is a foundational dance style known for its graceful and precise movements, and ballet classes follow a standardized format designed to progressively build dancers' skills and understanding of this art form.

MODERN

In this Modern Dance class, we blend the revolutionary techniques developed by Martha Graham and Lester Horton to create a holistic approach to movement. These techniques emphasize breath, contraction, release, and intricate body isolations to convey emotion, strength, and storytelling through movement.

Dance Jam

A Dance Jam class is a high-energy, exhilarating dance workout that blends elements of pop, hip-hop, and country music to create a dynamic and engaging cardio dance experience. Designed to get participants moving, sweating, and having a blast, Dance Jam classes offer a fun and inclusive environment where everyone can let loose and dance their heart out.

Here's what you might experience in a Dance Jam class:

  1. Fun Atmosphere: Dance Jam classes are known for their lively and upbeat atmosphere. Participants can expect an environment filled with positive energy, smiles, and an overall sense of enjoyment.

  2. Music Variety: The class features a mix of pop, hip-hop, and country music to cater to a diverse range of tastes. This variety keeps the energy levels high and offers something for everyone to groove to.

  3. Cardio Workout: Dance Jam classes provide an intense cardiovascular workout. The non-stop dance routines keep participants moving, elevating their heart rates and helping to burn calories.

POLICIES

Picture/Video Policy

Pictures and video are not permitted at any time during classes by or friends/family who are observing. Picture and video are permitted during class per the teacher’s permission. 

 

Technology Usage Policy

Cell phone and smartwatch engagement/usage are not permitted during class. Please silence all cell phones and smartwatches and put them in a secure place in your bag. We are not responsible for lost or stolen devices.

 

Parents, Family, Guardians, and Guests

To help our students remain focused and give the teacher their undivided attention, parents, family, guardians, and guests are not permitted on the gymnastics floor at any time. They are to remain in the designated waiting areas.

 

Image Release

By participating in the class, you provide permission to use the student’s likeness in photographs, video recordings or electronic images in any and all of its publications, including website entries, without payment or any other consideration. If you do not want your student's image being used, please provide written notice to info@danceandfly.com.

 

Tuition and Late Fees

  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Payments made after the 5th incur a late fee and abide by the following schedule: 1st month late: $10 / 2nd month late: $20

  • Accounts are considered delinquent after 30 days of non-payment and students are suspended from class until the account is paid in full. 

  • Auto-Pay is available for your convenience. Auto-Pay only applies to your monthly tuition and all other fees must be addressed separately. Should you choose to opt-out of auto-draft, you can pay your tuition and other fees by logging into your TAD customer account by clicking HERE.

  • Tuition is the same each month regardless of how many classes there are. This includes holiday, scheduled and inclement weather closings. We do not prorate for missed classes.

 

Enrollment

Transcendence provides year-round, on-going enrollment. That means you are enrolled in your class as long as you want to be enrolled. Annual registration fees from the anniversary of your start date apply.

 

Dropping a Class

Please provide a 14 day written notice if you intend to drop a class. Tuition will be charged through the next month without a fourteen-day advance notice.

 

Missed Classes

  • Please let your teacher know if you will not be able to make it to your class.  Make-up classes are offered for conditional circumstances and students must get approval before attending a different class. We cannot guarantee make-up classes, though we do our best to accommodate your schedule.  

  • Missed classes must be made up within two weeks. Any class rescheduled by the instructor will have an optional make-up day.  We do not pro-rate or refund for missed classes.

 

Recital and Aerial Showcase Costumes

  • Fees are per student, per class (Due in October or upon enrollment if after October)  

  • Costume fees increase the closer they are ordered to the recital date. 

  • Costume fees are non-refundable once they have been ordered.

 

Performance Fee

There is a $50 performance fee per family, per performance. Due June 1, this fee allows 2 guests to attend the performance. Additional Tickets will be available for purchase. 

 

Illness

Please do not bring your child to class with un-treated pink eye, fever, vomiting or diarrhea, any wet or open rash or sores, or if you think he/she might have croup.

 

Arrival

Please allow time for a visit to the bathroom or to change clothes, so the student does not miss warm-up. All students are responsible for arriving before class starts, wearing appropriate class attire and being ready to start class on time. While we understand that there are many circumstances that may lead to being late, we cannot allow a student to participate in a class if they are more than 10 minutes late. This ensures the safety of the students and maintains a high-quality class environment. 

 

Food/Drink Policy

No gum, food or open lid drinks allowed on the studio floor. We encourage students to bring a water bottle.
